You will need long wooden skewers.
Section the tangerine, and
Quickly rinse the strawberries.
Take off the stem and keep them whole.
Prepare a syrup with
One glass of water,
One glass of sugar, and
Bring to a boil.
Switch off the heat and
Set aside to cool.
Once the syrup has cooled,
Thread the tangerine sections and the strawberries on the wooden skewers.
Dip them in the syrup.
Drain in a colander,
Over a plate!
Melt the chocolate in a bain-marie, or double-boiler.
It should become liquid and shiny.
Dip the fruit in the chocolate.
To serve,
Stick the chocolate fruit skewers into bases of orange halves or
Arrange them as you would a bouquet in glasses.
- Why not try this with diced pineapple or banana slices…?
- Flavor the syrup with one green cardamom seed or with a star anise seed,
or a few black peppercorns, for a more exotic touch.
